Definitions
Summary Posting
- Sales are posted as Journal Entries within the accounting system and represent totals for a day.
- Sales Tax on Customer Invoices will have a line for each tax code setup in the POS system such as State, County and City (if available in the POS).
- Customers are not added to the accounting system.
- Vendor Invoices are added to the accounting system as invoices under the vendor and will include sales tax lines for each tax code setup in the POS such as State, County and City (if available in the POS).
Subsidiary Posting
- Sales are posted as Invoices and payments under the customer account. Invoices will contain Sales Tax lines for each tax code setup in the POS such as State, County and City (if available in the POS).
- Customers will be added to the company file (as needed) as invoices and payments are posted.
- Vendor Invoices are added as bills under the vendor and will include sales tax lines for each tax code setup in the POS such as State, County and City (if available in the POS).
Direct (Export Type)
- Direct integration with the accounting system. All of the integration is done programmatically.
Export Files (Export Type)
- Integration with the accounting system is done by exporting files via Accounting Link and then importing the files into the accounting system.
